It's been a while since I have written. Still recovering from my back surgery, but over the past few days I have seen a few things that have really infuriated me, so here goes:
- I watched the hearing with Ed Liddy yesterday. First, if I was him I would have walked in to this hearing and my opening remarks would have been I plead the fifth and then I quit. Then I would have walk out. This man is working for a buck a year to oversee the governments money laundering operation. Yes that is right the AIG bailout is a money laundering operation. See AIG insures alot of these institutions that hold the toxic assets that are causing this fianancial crisis. They basically guarantee that the investor loses nothing. So with bailing AIG out, then all those institutions will get bailed out as well, but by AIG not the government. But who owns 80% of AIG and ,money is being used to pay these claims? Why do you think AIG was paying these foreign institutions money? Because if the US government did it the country would flip out.
- Don't think for one minute that no one knew about the AIG bonuses. The administration and congress both knew about the bonuses. They were only hoping that they would be paid without any one noticing it. But know the "outrage" over this situation is making me sick. Barney Frank wanting names of those who received bonuses. Even with the threats on some of these people, Frank cannot guarantee confidentiality. Then he stated that if all paid back their bonuses, he would keep the names private. So we cannnot waterboard an unclassified person captured during a war, but we can extort our own citizens?
- During all of this in the Porkulus bill Sen Chris Dodd stated he put an amendment in to keep these bonuses from being paid. Then during the congressional conference it was stripped. Dodd first stated he didn't know who stripped it out of the bill, then amazingly he admitted the next day he did it, but the devil, oops I mean the treasury made him do it.
- Fannie and Freddie executives are due for their yearly bonuses soon. Will Barney Frank and Chris Dodd allow these bonuses to be paid or will they actually do their job and stand up and say no bonuses? Time will tell if the hypocracy that we can believe in will continue.
- In a speech in a church in San Fran, Speaker of The House Nancy Pelosi called the US immigration laws un-American. This speech was given to a church full of illegals. So you know she got their support. She called the ICE raids un-American. She called the people who are here illegally, who do not want to assimilate into our society patriotic. These people pay no taxes, according to Joe Biden you have to pay taxes to be patriotic. Doesn't Nancy Schmancy realize that the very people who she is addressing are the ones who are bankrupting her state? All the free health care, free education, welfare etc. I find Nancy un-American, because she breaks her oath of office everyday she is in office. She does not uphold the constitution of the United Stated, rather she undermines it. Destroying it's validity and it's strength.
- Finally this should make all of you veterans really "happy". Obama stated he wanted to have injured military veterans pay for their medical care after they return to the states. Forcing the veterans private medical insurance to pay for a war time injury. Didn't Obama state in one of his inauguration speeches at the military ball he would do everything to help veterans and members of the military? Obama's motive was to save money. Can't he find another way to save money, like kill the Porkulus package or the Omnibus bill or strip down his budget? Nope can't do that it isn't in his agenda.
So we see our new government is really running us into the ground. One good note Rasmussen polls show that districs polls are leading republican. Meaning that if elections were held today that republican candidates would win. This is a flip from a few months ago and the first time in three years that it has happened. Keep up the good work all you democrats.
