God promised Abraham in Genesis 12:2-3 "And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing:
And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed. "
We as a nation have been staunch defenders and allies to Israel. We have stood by them when the rest of the world would not. But in the past ten or so years we have been pressuring Israel to make concessions for peace. Giving up land, forcing the shut down of Israeli settlements in Gaza and the West Bank. Just recently Jerusalem and the Golan Heights have been on the table. We are heavy handedly forcing Israel to give up this land for the sake of peace, while the other side does nothing. The Palestinians never honor their side of any aggreement. But due to this pressure we are also paying a price.
Israel's land was given to them by the Lord. No man nor country has the right to divide it up. The Bible states this. As it is Israel is considerablely smaller than it's biblical borders. If we were to go by the borders given to Abraham in Genesis, Egypt from the Nile east, the Sinai, Northern Saudi Arabia, all Jordan, Western Iraq, Southern Syria and all of Lebanon and Eastern Turkey would be part of Israel. But to force them to give up what little they have of the land that God has given to them is against God's word.
Since we have started pressuring Israel to give land for peace, many things here in America have also changed. We have had a lot more natural disasters. Wild fires are common place in the west. Large destructive hurricanes are the norm. We had the most deadly attack on US soil in these years. Now that more and more people in the US and in our government are more anti Israel, our economy has crashed, the very people that are attacking Israel are protesting violently in the US. Soon I fear there will be another terrorist attack or waves of suicide bombing here in our country. I fear our country is straying away from God's will. Is there anyway to stop it? Is this the ushering in the end of days for the United States? I don't know. But I do know it seems clear to me that terrorible events happen here in this country every time we pressure Israel to do something for peace.
