Here we are in the holiday season. Economists are saying spending is up three percent and oil and gas prices are dropping. Isn't it convenient that these prices dropped just in time for Christmas. People are picking up their old habits of going out to the movies and dinner all the time. Spending again on items that are non essential and putting it all on plastic. Not even thinking about how to pay for it come January first when the bills start rolling in.

OPEC has stated that it wants the price of oil around seventy five dollars a barrel. They say they need this because many of the member countries are having budget problems due to the vast price. Unpopular regimes like Iran and Venezuela are falling short of money because of the economic damage caused by their leaders. Having to rely on oil revenues to make ends meet. Do I care about them? No I hope they fall because of the money short fall. I do care for the innocent people in those countries who are paying the price, but not the leaders. But the Saudis also want the price up to encourage investment again so they can make more money. So in December OPEC will meet again and will probably cut production to bring the price up.

I knew this would happen. I knew that after hitting close to one hundred and fifty dollars a barrel in July, oil would drop for a while. That artificial price increase was to get us to think that an average of seventy five dollars a barrel would be cheap. To get us to think that gas at just under three dollars a gallon was cheap. To change our mind set and make us accepting of these price hikes.

But now even OPEC didn't expect the price to drop this low. Under two dollars a gallon has not been seen for over a year. This is unacceptable to them.  OPEC countries are banking on this money. Most OPEC countries are Muslim nations, so guess were that money is going to. OPEC is also afraid of the alternative energy sources. If they get the price of oil down for a while, then we would forget about developing these sources too. Remember the oil crisis in the 1970's? Same thing happened, talk of solar and wind were huge. But when the oil prices dropped, we put all of those technologies on the back burner. If we had stayed on course with these alternatives they would already be developed and cheap, not the huge investment they are now.

Come January first oil will jump back up, gas will go up to were it was. People will be screaming because they can't pay for the gas in their tank to go to work and the credit card debit run up for Christmas. So then the credit crisis will worsen because people will be defaulting on their credit cards because they can't afford to pay them. Thats why Congress is already trying to prepare a consumer credit bailout with all these other bailouts. They know what is happening. They just want us to keep spending to keep the economy going. But the problem is the American public, like the government is spending what it doesn't have.

By doing this our government's debt will be huge. As a nation we will not be able to sustain it. This will allow those in favor of a North American Union to push harder for it's formation. Using our debt as an excuse. Saying that if we were to become one with Canada and Mexico we will be much stronger financially. Then us as they American people will have no say whether it happens or not. Selling off our sovereignty to the highest bidder and allowing for the ushering in of a one world government. Just like lambs being lead to the slaughter we are all contributing to the demise of the United States of America. Our leaders have been planning this for some time and it is going to get worse. I promise and so does Joe Biden.

This may sound rather crazy and even like I have gone over the deep end but, I think that Joe Biden is part of this unofficial, ultra secret organization. That Obama's choice and selection of Biden as Vice President was orchestrated by the Illuminati. This whole thought just popped into my head this morning and I don't know why, but I did a little research on the topic.

Some research on the web has stated that Biden is a member of the Illuminati. Some also state that Obama is also, but I don't believe that. One the Illuminati is a segregationalist organization. They believe blacks are third class citizens.  So Obama being a member is out of the question. But the Illuminati is not above using him as a puppet for their purpose. One of Obama's beliefs that differs from Biden's is the formation of the North American Union. The North American Union with it's roots in NAFTA is not supported by Obama. He wants to rework NAFTA to benefit the United States more, rather than Canada and Mexico. But Biden wants to make NAFTA and the North American Union the governing force in this hemisphere. Basically destroying our sovereignty. Notice bordJoe Biden and the  illuminatier closing and illegal immigration is no longer an issue. This is because the Illuminati's goal is a one world government run by them.

Some of my research has pointed to the Illuminati as the cause of this financial crisis. They use confusion and strife to their advantage. The Illuminati also uses war to bring their cause forward. Being a secular elitist society, using the poor and disenfranchised to their advantage is one of their biggest tactics. Allowing everyone to access credit, buy homes with sub prime loans etc. But when it is time to move they drew the purse strings closed and called all the loans due to gain their power. Notice all the chaos in the markets. One company, AIG, had such a huge chunk of the pie. When it as time for them to fail, it did, just at the right time. Many theorist on the web have stated that AIG is Illuminati controlled. Some have even stated the Federal Reserve is controlled by the Illuminati as well. The Federal Reserve is a quasi-private company like Fannie and Freddie, just with a lot more power at the control of it's chairman, who by the way is selected by the President of the United States.

With creating this chaos, the Illuminati can then use it's resources the "save" the world. Believe me this organization is very wealthy.  It has access to all governments and all the monies tied to each one. Plus most of the world's elite leaders are members. From what I gather only a few sections of the world are not influenced by the Illuminati. These being China, Russia, and the Mid-East. The two richest areas of the world are said to be in their control, North America and Europe. This group wants to play god. They want to set up the one world government, say qho live and who dies. Who will work and who will not. They want to be worshiped as gods. In fact the Illuminati is said to help usher in the anti-christ. But if you don't believe me look for yourself. Remember Bidens prophecy about Obama facing a crisis within six months of him taking office. What does Biden already know?

Just after a day of giving thanks for blessings we have been given for the past year, the day after turns into a total materialistic lust fest for goods at super cheap prices. People transform from the peaceful ones they were the day before to total animals the very next day.

Today has been no different. A Long Island man who worked part time at Wal-Mart as a holiday temp was trampled to death by more than two thousand people as he opened the doors. These people were rushing in to get a sub four hundred dollar L.C.D. television and other electronics that were marked down for Black Friday. More people were injured as well but the man dying was just uncalled for. The poor man just went to work to make a living for his family, not even thinking that he would not come home. The worst parts of this whole scenario is that the people went on shopping like nothing happened and emergency personal were being pushed around by shoppers as they tried to attend to the poor man.

This was this years tragedy. In years past, situations like this have happened. Why do we as a society allow for this? Why are we driven by greed and lust of things? I myself did not go out for the sales. I have always thought it as a gimmick. I have noticed many of the sales happen again. It's just the hype put behind this one day. So what will Wal-Mart do to prevent this from happening again? Will they not participate in Black Friday sales? I just wonder. No wonder we are hated by the world. Our barbaric behavior when it comes to material things well known. What does the rest of the world think of situations such as this. The Al-Qaeda's of the world must laugh. They kill each other and us over religious beliefs, we kill ourselves for tv sets. This violence and behavior isn't because of religion, civil rights, a war or other legitimate reason, it was over a tv set.

I have never said anything about Black Friday publicly before. Each year I see these things happen and just shake my head. But enough is enough. It's time to get back to sanity. Let's look at how the media is hyping Black Friday. Sales are leaked on the internet months before they will take place. All the financial channels will have numbers out soon to see how well Black Friday went. It is time to stand up and not fall for the hype anymore. I know that this is not a political cause or so one. But lives are lost, violent acts are committed over material things that no one even owns yet. For me I will continue to not participate in Black Friday. But I hope more will not participate as well. Let the stores, malls and merchants know we will not be controlled like this. Forcing them to spread sales like this out to eliminate these acts.

I hope that the surveillance video in that Wal-Mart shows the people stampeding this poor man and the authorities can find a way to prosecute. I hope also that Wal-Mart does the responsible thing and changes the way they do business. If Wal-Mart can spread those prices around instead of a couple of hours, then maybe other stores will follow suit. But if we all boycott Black Friday the stores will be forced to do something else. Human life is definitely worth more than a tv set.  

It is a sad shame that the holidays are coming under attack by the far left. Christmas has been under attack for a number of years. From public displays of the nativity scene, to the saying of Merry Christmas. Now the left is calling the dressing up by children as Native Americans for Thanksgiving pageants as racist. Were will it go from here?

During the first harvest the pilgrims gave thanks to God for their harvest, but also invited Native Americans because without their help the pilgrims would have surely died. So to portray Indians in a reenactment of the first Thanksgiving is not racist, but historically correct. Yes, the white man caused great harm to the Native Americans in the years to come, which I say is wrong and should have never have happened. But the Native American contribution to the holiday is a fact. So in my opinion to not portray them would be racist.

The celebration of Christmas comes under attack every year. Seems that the left is getting what it wants as far as removing th real meaning of Christmas from the holiday. The words Merry Christmas make some people cringe. But why? The true meaning behind the holiday is to celebrate the birth of Christ and God's gift to humanity in the sacrifice of His Son.

What this boils down to is some people are offended by the celebration of these holidays. They are offended by the meaning behind them and what each one stands for. Both have Christian roots that cannot be taken away. In my opinion if you are offended by Thanksgiving don't celebrate it. If its true meaning offends you, don't take the paid holiday off from work. Behave as though it isn't happening. If you are offended by the saying of Merry Christmas, don't celebrate it either. If the true meaning of the holiday offends you, don't participate. Don't buy presents or put up a tree. Go to work and pretend it's not happening. But for those of us who believe in it's meaning and purpose, actually the majority of us, don't ruin it. Don't be hypocrites and celebrate holidays that you don't believe in. Political correctness has no place in the celebration of these two holidays. They are days of giving thanks and praise to our God who gave us many blessings. If you don't believe that, then take stand and don't participate. Don't ruin it for the rest of us.

On that note to all you far left, politically correct, atheists out there, have a Happy Thanksgiving, a Merry Christmas and may the God behind these celebrations show you the truth. But remember, if God doesn't show you the truth then stand up for your beliefs and go to work and give up the holiday pay. We will enjoy these times without you.

The newly renovated Air Force One ready to take flight for Barack Obama. Going were no man has gone before.

Why is Obama's administration looking like Bill Clinton's? Seems that the change we can believe in is the change we already had. Every one of Barack Obama's appointments for his staff worked in the Clinton administration in some form. Barack Obama said during his campaign that change will come from outside Washington, but all those chosen so far are from inside Washington.

Why is he doing this? Is is because he is so inexperienced and not ready for the job, he needs to hire all of Clinton's croanies to hold his hand?  It started during the campaign, but no one caught it. Obama's selection of Joe "the Gaffe" Biden for V.P. should have been a sign. Lets look and see what Obama has done so far.

First for Chief Of Staff, Rham "the Back Stabber" Emanuel. This man is out for number one. He will turn on Obama in the blink of an eye to benefit himself. He was a big news leak during the Clinton administration. This gave him press favorability and the spot light. this is what Rham loves the spot light. He one day wants to be were Obama is, and will step on anyone to get there.

Then we have Eric " Free the Terrorists" Holder. This man was Assistant Attorney General under Janet Reno. At the end of Clinton's administration he freed a group of Puerto Rican terrorists, FALN, and two Weather Underground members from prison. This was done to help Hillary Clinton during her campaign for senate in New York. She neded to get the Puerto Rican vote to win. Holder had sympathy for these people anyway so it was a good thing for all parties involved. None of the FALN members had requested clemonsy, but rather Holder filled out the paper work and advocated for them to President Clinton. Is this a sign? If confirmed will he empty Gitmo at the blink of an eye. This man is a threat to our national security.

Two names have been mentioned for energy secretary, Al " Gorbal Warming" Gore, and Robert " I don't want the wind farm in front of my house" Kennedy.  This link explains everything.

Finally, the icing on the cake, Hilary Clinton may be picked for Secretary of State. I don't know why he would do this. Her foreign policy experiance came as First Lady. Will she actually set our foregin policy or will Bill do it from behind the scenes. We saw how well his policy worked. The Cole, the first World Trade Center attack come to mind. His lame missle strike on Afghanistan was the extent of his reaction to terrorist attacks on our interests. But the biggest problem is Bill needs to then cut his ties with Muslim nations. Since his presidency ended he has been given large sums of money for speaking and donations from countries like Dubai, Yehman, Kuwat etc.

So the King of Change seems to be the King of The Same. So I ask again is this the change we need? Or is it the change we already had?

During the campaign Barack Obama called people in Pennsylvania bitter people clinging to their guns and religion. The fact is not all religious gun clingers live in Pennsylvania and our country would not be what it is without us.

Our nation was born because people did want to be persecuted because of their religion. These people became tired of living in tyrany so they rebelled against the King of England. It was religious gun clingers who fought for our freedom and gave birth to this nation. Each one of the founding fathers were believers in God and had a strong relgious conviction. Using the Judeo-Christian belief system to frame our government and our rights as citizens.

Every war our country has been in was to defend peoples rights to live in freedom. Each one was fought by religious gun clingers who, without their sense of patriotism and doing what s right based on these values, could not have defended the freedom we have today.

The minorities in this country have the right to protest what they think is wrong. They have the rights they have just like the rest of us and live without the fear of persecution because of gun clinging religious people. No were in the world could they do what they do here being a minority. Most places the minorities are persecuted. Here we protect them and treat them as equals. The gays fighting for their right to marry would not have that right if it wasn't for religious gun clingers fighting for the rights of all. But yet the gays protest against them and even damage their property or attack them physically becasue of their religious beliefs.  Barack Obama would have never had the right to say what he said in Pennsylvania and even have the ability to become the first black president of the United States if it wasn't for the religious gun clingers. 

Now in all the examples I have listed above one would think I was just talking about military people. But while we owe a great deal to those fine patriots who have served their country in this fashion, religious gun clingers are not just military or veterans. Religious gun clingers are the people who make core of this country. They are the construction worker, the auto worker, the farmer, the average American who has the moral compass, the resolve and mindset to do and know what is right. They are not the rich elite or so called intellectuals like Obama or Bill Ayers, but just the "Joe the Plumber" type. Religious gun clingers know were their rights came from. They know each freedom we have is a gift from God. Not from some politician or judge who govern and pass judgment based on their own ideals and opinions. But rather from a strong undeniable force that has created us all equal in His eyes. So when Obama says we are bitter, he is out of touch. We are not bitter, we just want what is right for us and our country. Not what he thinks is right or fair. Because we are strong in our convictions and do not waiver. He also may do well to know that if need be, all of us religious gun clingers will stand up and use them if need be to defend our country and the way of life that our constitution grants us. Not the life he or the rest of government thinks we should lead. So in essence being religious and clinging to our guns is not a bad thing. Actually it puts me in good company. Thats why I am proud to be a religious gun clinger and will stand strong to defend my freedoms will you?

Since November 4 there have been out of control protests over Proposition 8 in California. These protests have spread from California to all over the country. Now court filings have been filed by gay rights groups to prohibit Proposition 8 from becoming law. Why should we worry about this? Why is this a big deal? Here is why.

First the protests have turned violent. People have been hurt and property damaged by these gay rights activist over Proposition 8. I can understand that they are unhappy, but becoming violent over this is not right either. I am against gay marriage, but there is a right way and a wrong way to go about this. These activists are practicing the very intolerance they are protesting about. In there pursuit of tolerance, they have resorted to attacking churches,  beating up old ladies carrying crosses and so on. They are no better than terrorists. These groups are attacking groups that have not hurt them. Little old ladies and churches have not gone out and beat them or damaged their property. It just goes to show the evil behind this movement. When the devil doesn't get his way he resorts to any tactics to get what he wants. Why are not these people going to jail? Where is the ACLU in protecting the rights of the people who are being damaged by these protests? Surely if the shoe was on the other foot the ACLU would a team of lawyers the size of the 82nd Airborne all over this.

Our country was set up to provide life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness for its people. It does not say that all will be happy. It just give all the right to pursue happiness. So if the law is not to your liking, you have to deal with it and work within its limits. If something that makes a person happy is illegal the person either has to accept that what they want is not right or change what it is that will make you happy. I would love to be wealthy and not have to work. That would make me happy, but I can't go beat up people and rob them to get there. So I have to work and live within my means. The pot head who loves to smoke and get high can't do it legally. So either they take the risk and do it anyway or they have to change their behavior to find something that makes them happy. Remember happiness is not a right, just the pursuit of it.

It just seems that this day in age you can be the minority and stomp your feet, kick, scream and cry like a baby and get what you want to shut you up.  When the American people are given an opportunity to express their wishes in an election, the group with the most votes win. The wishes of the majority of people in California was to amend their constitution to ban gay marriage. This is what the people wanted. This is what happened. So why are those who lost their cause allowed to fight using the court system to reverse the decision of the people? Aren't the judges there to defend the constitution? So if the people of California chose to amend their constitution, then no judge has the right to change that. How can a portion of any constitution, state or federal, be found unconstitutional? It will show that any constitution is worthless. If a group of judges can take an amendment and overrule it, shows that our votes do not count. This will set a standard  for our country that the people do not rule as in any constitution, but rather the judges in the courts. So the why vote? it doesn't count. If a group does not like the outcome of a vote they can go to court and have it changed by the kings and queens of our land, the judges. Showing we do not live in a democracy but a dictatorship.  Allowing this cause to be a prime example of equal rights destroying the rights of all.

In order to be tolerant the gay rights groups must face the fact that the people made their choice. That the majority of people said what they are wanting is not right. Gays must accept the decision of the people and live with it. Gays have been given civil unions to allow them the same financial rights as married couples. Why do they need to take marriage which is seen by the majority as a sacred institution and make it what it was not meant to be?  Fundamental Mormons still practice polygamy. Yes polygamy is illegal, but they still do it how? Well the man is legally married to one woman, but is "married" to others in the church in legally non binding ceremonies. So in the eyes of the law the amarriage is one man and one women, but in the eyes of the church they are practicing what they believe. Why can't the gays do that? They have legally been given the civil unions, they can take these unions and have a lavish wedding ceremony, behave as if married, but in the eyes of the law they are not married. The bottom line is gays just want more. They want their lifestyle to be seen as normal. Yes, America has become tolerant of gay lifestyles, but America is not willing to say it is normal. The gays must then be tolerant and accept the decision of the people, take their loss and move on. But to be intolerant to those who have been tolerent to them is wrong, bottom line.

I keep hearing the media comparing Barack Obama with Abraham Lincoln. How can this be done. First Lincoln was a republican, he was against slavery and wanted to keep our country unified. Second the democratic party back then was in favor of slavery and wanted to divide the country. So to compare the two is way out of line.

Obama will never be a Lincoln because of of differences in ideology. Lincoln reunited the nation under one flag, Obama will never do that. Obama very sneakily will actually divide the country with his radical views and liberal ideology. So again the comparison is not fair. Just because they are both from "humble beginnings" and from Illinois does not make the alike. Remember Obama went to private schools on the mean streets of Hawaii. I don't think you can compare the two when you are raised by your grandmother who was a bank vice president. Most of the bank vice presidents I know do fairly well. So the humble beginnings thing really is not what it seems.

So in my opinion there really is no comparison. The two actually are complete opposites. What do you think?

 I was watching the news today and there was a story  about Obama addressing a California global warming conference by video. The video was posted on the internet for the conference.  This freaked me out a little and here is why.

We have watched the end times movies, Left Behind, The Omega Code. In those movies we have the world leader broadcasting himself by video over every screen available. Is this what we have to look forward to with Obama? Will his image every time he needs to speak be beamed to every screen in the nation? Will all the big screens in Times Square broadcast his image for his loyal followers to see? With an inundation of the Big Head lead to brainwashing of the American public? We saw what his redirect did during the campaign. How it blinded people to what he really is. His charismatic style lends itself for people to project pieces of themselves on him. Making one think he is like us and for us. I am not falling for it.

Look as the video opens his own seal, the term " The Office of The President Elect." never saw that before and the web site Change.gov. Can he get over himself?

To all of the American Public Beware of The Big Head.

Many Christians wonder what role will America play in the end times. Though there is no direct reference of America in the Bible, some believe we are the Babylon in the book of Revelation. I wondered this as well. This past Sunday I woke up very early because I could not sleep. I came across a program on one of the Christian networks on TV that made me really think about this. After the show I believe that America is the Babylon is in Revelation and this is why.

The book of Revelation chapter 18 versus 1-3 states " Then I saw another angel descending from heaven, possessing great authority, and the earth was illuminated with his radiance. And he shouted with a mighty voice, She has fallen! Might Babylon is fallen! She has become a dwelling place for demons. for all the nations have drunk the wine of her passionate unchastity, and the rulers of the earth have joined her in committing fornication, and the businessmen of the earth have become rich with the wealth of her excessive luxury." These verses show how America has influenced the world. Our lust for material things and love of money has spread globally. Our ways of doing business have become the standard across the world. Every sort of sin is common place here in America and influences the world. Look how so many people from other nations want to come here.

Our acceptance of all sorts of behaviors and lifestyles have become common place. Premarital sex, homosexuality are portrayed as normal.  The love of money and gathering of material things is what is taught by society as normal. The concept the more you have, the better you will be and happier you will be is status quo. The lust and drive for these things comes above all things, God, family etc. Divorce rates climb because of the lust of success, selfishness etc. People enter into marriage to make themselves happy, not to make the other happy or serve the other. So when these expectations do not get met, adultery and divorce take place. Extra marital affairs are common place and accepted, even justified in some cases. States adopt no fault divorce laws, making it easier to divorce with no penalty to the offender in the marriage. 

The book of Revelation also tells of judgment to Babylon. It tells that Babylon will fall by way of it methods of sin. Verse 6 states " Repay her what herself has paid and double in accordance with what she has done. Mix a double portion for her in the cup she mixed." Verse 7 goes on to state that to the degree of her lust that the measure of her torment will be. In essence I believe that America will be judged by her actions.

I believe that our financial crisis is only the beginning. Some judgments have already been poured out. Look at all the sexually transmitted diseases. These I believe are penalties for our sexual immorality. Notice that there is no cure for AIDS of Herpes. The only sure fire way to keep from getting these diseases is abstinance. Notice how the worlds economy is hurting because of our economy. The lure of our economy and ability to make fast money caused many countries to invest in our faulty system. Buying investements that were poorly put together and disguised as good. When these investments started to fail the nations of the world started loosing money. As they started to pull their money out of our market, our market started going down. Our economy is being destroyed from both the top and the bottom. With the American public defaulting on loans and credit cards due to living in excess, the companies who loaned this money are loosing. Then when these comapnies sold off these debts as "securities" to investors the investors started cashing in because they saw these investments were bad and wanted out before they lost to much money. So in the end the economy is being swallowed up at both ends.

As this happens foreign countries do not want to invest in America anymore. In verse 11 it says the earth's businessmen weep because no one buys their freight. This is because no one in America has any money. So the other countries doing business with us cannot sell their goods here. Causing their economies to go down. So then these countries stop investing in America to sell their goods. Examples of this are starting to surface. During the bailout in October China banned its banks from loaning any more money to the US, German banks will not guarantee credit to GM anymore.  These are just two examples of countries not wanting to do business with the US anymore. There will be more as time goes buy.

No matter what our government does, America is doomed to judgment. Our sins as a nation are many and they are great. Our nation will become an irrelavent entity in the world in the years to come. We will no longer be the great nation we once were. Our integrity and influence will fall away, and we have no one to blame but ourselves. We can only hope that with repentance that these judgements will be lessened and not so severe. But with how our nation feels about God I don't have much hope in this. The only ray of hope is that God calls His people out of the judgement in verse 4 saving them from the torment that will come.

This is only a short synopsis of what is to come. I truly believe that the Babylon mentioned in the book of Revelation is America. No Obama, or other leader will save us. Our nation has been truely blessed by God, but our arrogance and pride as a nation has caused the country great sin. This sin will not go unpunished. The bible states that for those those who much is given, much is required. As a nation we failed those requirements and know judgment is upon us. I am not a doomsday fanatic, just some one who is seeing the writting on the wall. It's a sad situation, only faith and trust in God  will save anyone. Those who have been saved by givng themselves to Him will be spared. The rest will be judged by their actions and lack of obediance to God.

As I stated in a previous post (p://workingclassview.blogtownhall.com/2008/11/04/my_view_on_unions.thtml ) unions in the American workplace can be good. They can be a benefit to it's members and can even benefit management. But with the proposed bailout of the American auto industry we can see the extreme greed of a union. We can see the extreme selfish attitude that some union leaders can have. Just this last weekend UAW president Ron Gettlefinger said union concessions were out of the question.  He stated that the economy must be turned around so things can go back to the status quo.

Here lies the problem. This antiquated way of thinking by the union is what will put it out of business. Mr. Gettlefinger gives unions a bad name. He is not at all concerned with the fact that if the American auto industry goes belly up then his union members have no jobs. If the auto makers goes bankrupt  without him working with the companies to adjust contracts a judge will do so. In this case he would have no control to what his union will give up or be able to provide his its members. This mentality is really going against what the union is supposed to do.

A union is supposed to provide its members protection from management in event of unfair treatment. The union is supposed to negotiate fair wages for its memebers also. But if the company that the union is associated with is having trouble, the union must also help the company. It needs to be a two way street. Not one of just take by the union.

When the airline industry was having trouble, unionized pilots, flight attendants, baggage handlers all gave back out of their contracts to save their jobs. This is what needs to happen in the auto industry. These airline employees realized that if they did not give back, then they would not have jobs.

My last year in the Teamsters our contract with the town I worked for was being negotiated. At the time the town was raising property taxes and looking to cut spending because tax revenues were falling due to the lack of big business in the little town. We were told that they were going to lay off Teamsters in the public works department because of budget short falls. As a whole us Teamsters decided that it would be in our best interests to take a small wage increase, I think it was 3% for the first year, cost of living increase for the area was at 6 or 7%. After the first year the wage increase would be renegotiated to examine if conditions would allow for another increase. If not we would stay at the same rate until the next year. When we did this we saved two union jobs and allowed for hiring one additional person. If we did not do this we would have lost three jobs or more.

We knew that we needed to give back if we wanted our jobs. This is the mentality the UAW has to adopt. They must stop acting like they are in control. The union is no longer in control, the economy is. The days of union control are gone. For a union to be relavent they must be willing to adapt and change with the times. If a union cannot do that then they will  become extinct.

My view on unions has not changed. They can be beneficial to all parties. But with the example given by the UAW, it gives all unions a bad name. This is a perfect example of union greed and arrogance.

Close up the corporate bread line. Stop throwing our tax money to corporations that have mismanaged themselves to the brink of extinction. Shut down the expensive executive getaways on our dime. Let the UAW wallow in its own greed and die in financial ruin. This union and its greed has destroyed the american auto companies. But then again the car companies let them. I am not against unions, just ones that only worry about themselves and do not have the interests of their members in mind.

The 2008 Bailout-paloza must end, and end now. None of what is being done to save these corporations is working. The mindset of management has not changed in these times. In fact it has only gotten worse. With AIG and its excessive trips costing hundreds of thousands of dollars, and not even thinking twice about them or care if they can afford them. These company executives are only concerned with themselves. I can't what for them all to fail. To watch them go from god like to working the McDonalds drive through or sitting in a federal prision.

I can't wait to see Barney Frank and Chris Dodd go down in flames. These two knew Fannie and Freddie would fail. They did nothing to help fix the problem when legislators in both houses cried danger. They shrugged them off to protect their own interests. I am sure there is wrong doing on their parts, but who will investigate it? Who will do the digging? No one at this time. So the American taxpayer must just keep paying.

The American economy is in dire straights. The stock market drops everyday. Thousands of Americans are losing their jobs everyday. No amount of "good" money will fix what is going on here. Because so much "bad" money was used to cause the problem. What needs to happen is the infection needs to be purged from the system. Those responsible must be allowed to fall. AIG, GM and others must be allowed to fail. This is the only way to fix the problem. Yes innocent people will be effected. Haven't the innocent paid enough all ready? Let the guilty fail. Let them fall. Some body will come in and pick up the pieces. Maybe AIG is not so much to big to fail, but just to big. Let it fail. Some small companies will come in and pick up the pieces.  Then instead of one big beumouth, we will have a number of small entities doing the same thing. That way if one fails the others can step in.

The auto makers have done business the way they have forever. No economic steains has ever changed their thinking. Look at the foreign automakers in the US, their making money. Some union, some not. So what are the Big Three doing wrong? Not changing with the times, thats what. So if they can't change then the must fail. Some smart, energetic people will come in and pick up the pieces. They will rebuild these companies and get them up and running so they may compete in this economy.

Dinasours went extinct millions of years ago, because they couldn't adapt. Seems like sections of the American economy can't adapt either. So its survival of the fittest. Let 'Em Fail!

Dear Chris Matthews,

Thank you for your desire to help all of us conservatives here in the GOP. But see we don't need it. Unlike you and other liberals we have standards. We do not change our values based on the issue of the day, or what is politically correct or not. In fact we pride ourselves as being politically incorrect. Why do we do this? Because many of the values we hold true to our heart are politically incorrect in the eyes of liberals. We hold traditional values close to our hearts. While many in our party have fallen to corruption, they are only imperfect humans. They let their position and or title corrupt their minds. But remember liberals have them too. Remember President Clinton lied under oath about his relationship with Monica Lewinsky. He is still what many call the patriarch of your party. Hmm, do I sense a little hypocrisy here?

You say you pray all the time and condemn Sarah Palin referencing God in a statement she has made. You state the problem is we as conservatives shouldn't make those things public. Didn't you just do that? Also this would go against our values as conservatives. The Bible states those who acknowledge God on earth, God will acknowledge them in heaven. Those who deny God on earth, God will deny them in heaven.  Are you saying you deny God in public? If you are a Christian then you have something to worry about. You also seem to get some weird sexual feeling up your leg when Obama speaks. If this is true, you need to seek help from God. This is a form of idol worship. Which if you are a praying Christian will know that this is a sin.

Mr. Matthews you also say we need to change our position on abortion. Well our belief is that life begins at conception. We are not afraid to make this statement. We also do not think it is above our pay grade. 

See Mr. Matthews many of us here in the GOP are not willing to let our beliefs be swayed or set aside for the sake of winning an election. We do not want to conform ourselves as the democrats have done to apease the masses. Our values actually reflect the majority of Americans. Polls show that. The problem is the GOP failed its people by not sticking to our core values and running like democrats. But since the election we have seen our errors, how we have deviated from our core beliefs. But now we are preparing to make our fixes. To show the American people we still believe in what the majority believes in. To be the party of the American people, with the values that have made this country strong. Not conforming to the issues of the day, as you would like us to do.

So we thank you for your concern, but no thanks.

The GOP

On Monday Barack Obama went to the White house to meet with President Bush and to get a tour of his residence for the next four years. The two held a "private meeting" regarding things each one wants during the transition. While this was supposed to be a private meeting, information was leaked to the media by an anyonomous source. Anger over this has been expressed by the Bush adminstration. Both sides have said that no bargaining over issues happened, but the damage was done by the leak already.

So who do I think is to blame? The mouth of Chicago, Rham Emanuel, Obama's soon to be Chief Of Staff. Why do I say this? Rahm Emanuel is known for being very partisian. He is also known to be a media butterfly. He loves to talk to the press, he loves to be in front of the camera. He is also out for number one. Arrogance flows from this man like water. His image is more important to him than anyone or anything else. He is aspiring to be in Obama's position one day. 

I heard Dick Morris tell a story about Mr. Emanuel when both were part of the Clinton administration. A situation took place and President Clinton called Dick Morris and asked who he told about the situation, because the only ones who knew were Morris and himself. Morris told Clinton that he told Rham and another individual, I cannot remember the other individuals name. Clinton's response was "you should of just held a press conference." Clinton also stated he could not trust the other man or Emanuel. So why put these people in your administration?  This right here should tell Obama he has chosen some one he can't trust.

What I don't understand is how a president can appoint people they cannot trust to high positions in their administration? Shouldn't he surround yourself with people who he can trust? These are going to be the people who he will confide in. Go to for advice. These people will be prievy to information that must be kept secret, but without basic trust how can that happen? Is a situation like this a danger to national security? We have all seen what leaks to the media can do to an administration trying to resolve a crisis.

The bottom line is this, if there can be an undoing of the Obama administration, it will be at the hands of Mr. Emanuel. He cannot restrain himself, especially if he is not in agreement with the president. Rahm Emanuel will be Obama's Achilles heel and can cause Obama's downfall if need be. I have no problem with this as long as the American people and national security are not put in jeapordy by it.
