I Hope The House Votes No

After the passage of the Bailout To No Where last night with all its new bells, whistles and buzzers it is still not going to work. This morning all the markets opened down even with the passage in the senate.

So what is the real problem? I said it in a post a couple of days ago. This is a market correction. No matter what is done in Washington, this correction will take place. In the past 10 to 15 years credit became easier and easier to get. Limits went high, terms for loans changed to make it that much easier to get credit.

But what did this cause? People using that credit unwisely. Running up limits, taking out loans that were risky and too costly, all for material gain. Businesses  using credit instead of cash to run day to day operations. It's time to see the writing on the wall. Running a debt based, credit run economy is unwise and foolish. Many foreign leaders call our market a large casino. They are correct. We need cash to be the main focus of our economy, not a credit rating or a debt to cash ratio.

It is time for the American public and businesses to learn again how to function on limited credit again. Can't you see a whole market has been set up for the granting and selling of credit, and because of the complete reliance put on it by the world and American economies that when it has a problem it causes complete upheaval. Credit is a good thing if used correctly such as emergencies. But to base a whole existence of an economy on it is not good.

Instead of throwing money at the problem, which will not help. Send these people back to business school to relearn the right principles and put them into practice. Then maybe will we see a true recovery.

Interesting Poll

On AOL.com there is a straw poll every week for who would you vote for president. Now I know it may not be accurate. As I believe no poll is truly accurate, but I find it interesting. One thing is you can only vote once.  During the primary season I noticed it being actually more liberal. Thats why I find it interesting. During the primaries from what I can remember the polls leaned towards Obama. Well now during the general election its 60-40 this week in favor of John McCain with over 300,000 votes. Here is a link to the poll so you can see for yourselves. http://news.aol.com/political-machine/2008/09/25/aol-straw-poll-sept-25-oct-2

Mind Game

Over the past week Sarah Palin has been getting blasted in the media for comments that were made during her interview with Katie Couric. Calling her incompetent, not ready, and she should step down.

Well, last week before the presidential debate I heard all the mind games being played by the Obama camp regarding his foreign experience and trying to lower the expectations of him for the debate. Can anyone see this could be what is happening with Palin? She has been scripted to the tee. She basically has been a puppet of her handlers. This is lowering the expectations of her performance  on Thursday night.

If you look at her record in Alaska, as mayor and govenor you can see she is a lot more intelligent as being played out in the media. Many in the GOP have been crying for the McCain camp to turn Sarah loose. I believe they will, at the right time. The McCain camp has an ace up their sleeve as far as Palin. They are using her popularity and the exposure she gets, even the biased MSM coverage of her to their advantage. But when she takes the stage and is turned loose like I believe the McCain camp will do, she will then blow Joe Biden off the stage. Joe Biden will aid her in this victory in the debate. Allowing Joe Biden to speak is like giving a toddler a loaded gun, something bad is gonna happen. Then what will the MSM do? It will be in front of the whole country, and no matter what, peoples opinions wil be swayed. The Palin factor will back in the race.

So if I am correct in my opinion the McCain camp is playing the ultimate mind game with Palin and her choice as vice president. Sounds very Karl Roveish but a good tactic. Now we just have to wait and see.
